VIDEONALE.14 on Tour in Moscow ‘13

The exhibition „VIDEONALE.14 on Tour“, curated by Tasja Langenbach and Jennifer Gassmann, takes place at The Central House of Artists (CHA) in Moscow from 18th September until 24th September 2013.




Videonale on Tour at Stromfestival

Videonale e.V. presents a selection of video works from previous Videonale editions 13 and 14. 10 films with a runtime of minimum 40 mins will be displayed in a cinema at Kunsthaus Rhenania in Cologne. The festival Strom runs during one weekend from 5 - 8 September 2013 and presents itself as a platform for ephemeral art. The time based media sound, installation, film, performace and dance will be presented by more than 40 contemporary artists.

VIDEOFEST2K12 - Bienal Internacional de Video y Cine Contemporáneo shows from 5-16 November 2012 a selection of Videonale.13 works in Mexicali, Tijuana y Ensenada, Baja California, México.




Videonale on Tour Donetsk, Ukraine 2012

The exhibition at IZOLYATSIA consists of the works from the festival's 13th edition whose program was selected from 1776 applications received from 76 countries. The concept for an exhibition of “Videonale: Dialogue in Contemporary Video Art” first originated with the Videonale in Bonn, Germany, first held in 1984, and now in its 13th iteration. The exhibition was a pioneer in the genre. As a continuous, established art exhibition, Videonale has borne witness to points of transition in the history of video art. 


Videonale on Tour Katowice, Poland 2011


From 18 May - 26 June 2011, Katowice hosted the Video Re:view festival, the first event of this scale in the region presenting the most important phenomena in video art. The main event of the festival is an exhibition of works from the 13th Bonn Videonale, one of the oldest video art biennials in Europe, well known for its talent-spotting capability and original ways of presenting videos.
